Ms. Smith stated that this information is subject to review <br /> <br />by the auditors. <br /> <br />The Board discussed amending the Community Redevelopment District to include properties <br /> <br />located within the city limits that are not included in either the City or County CRD. Mr. Fall explained the <br /> <br />process to amend the CRD boundaries. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued regarding the properties that will be impacted due to the US Highway 17/92 <br /> <br />and State Road 436 intersection improvements. <br /> <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding a car dealership leasing Highway 17/92 right-of-way from the <br /> <br />Department of Transportation to display cars. Ms. Smith stated the City notified the Department of <br /> <br />Transportation and the agreement to lease right-of-way was cancelled. Ms. Smith said the Department of <br /> <br />Transportation said they would contact jurisdictions before entering into a similar type of agreement. <br /> <br />It was decided that Mr. Fall and Ms. Smith would prepare a preliminary list of potential properties to <br /> <br />include in the CRD for the July 14, 2006 CRA meeting. Mr. Fall asked the Board to identify additional <br /> <br />projects that would benefit the CRD corridor. The Board said they wanted public input on CRD projects. <br /> <br />Mr. Fall suggested the CRA schedule an annual workshop conducted by a professional facilitator to <br /> <br />inform the public of the CRA's accomplishments, future plans and receive input from the public. Ms. Smith <br /> <br />suggested that the CRA set up procedures such as annual audits and updating the City Commission on a <br /> <br />regular basis. Mr. lander stated that Chamber could sponsor and moderate the annual workshop. <br /> <br />Mr. lander expressed a concern regarding the properties involved in the US Highway 17/92 and <br /> <br />State Road 436 intersection improvements. A discussion ensued regarding an option to lease property <br /> <br />back to tenants to avoid boarded up buildings. Ms. Smith said in discussions regarding the relocation of <br /> <br />Club Juana it was stated that businesses can enter into an agreement with the Department of <br /> <br />Transportation to remain at the location until such time that DOT needs the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Lander stated that there is a rumor that Mr. Pinter is relocating his club to the Concord Center <br /> <br />property. Ms. Smith stated that the site is a non-conforming site for adult entertainment. <br />
