CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 8, 2008 - Workshop <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />having any manufactured type housing would be very small <br />Commissioner Solomon, Mayor Goff and Vice Mayor Hufford stated they were in favor of offering <br />incentives to encourage property aggregation along the corridor. Mayor Goff also suggested that perhaps <br />a type of MSBU could be utilized that would allow for small business loans to redevelop properties along <br />the corridor, or another approach that would allow some of the tax dollars to go toward making some of the <br />redevelopment happen quicker. Mayor Goff also suggested that the mobile home area between Legacy Park <br />and the old Lake Drive be studied as well as the new segment of Lake Drive outside of the City limits for <br />possible use changes since these areas area also transitional. <br />Ms. Barbara Lipscomb, City Manager, stated the lack of sanitary sewer infrastructure might limit <br />redevelopment along the corridor, noting the area has been commercial general since 1956. Commissioner <br />Doemer stated she felt the sanitary sewer lines needed to be in place before design standards were discussed. <br />Direction: Staff was given direction by the City Commission to develop recommendations regarding the <br />percentage of office professional and commercial uses to be utilized along the corridor, as well as develop <br />the overlay district and design guidelines in accordance with the preferences and suggestions given during <br />the earlier discussion. <br />III.
