<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> <br />The City of Casselberry Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on Thursday, May 25,2006, at 6:30 P.M., in <br /> <br />the Casselberry City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Members present were: <br /> <br />Hal Billerbeck, Chairman <br />Ed Bowman, Vice-Chairman <br />Jonathon Miller <br />Mary Anne Gauvin <br />Earl McMullen <br />Luis Guzman, altemate <br /> <br />Staff members present: <br /> <br />Matt Dorsten, Planner <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br /> <br />First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the public hearing held on Thursday, April 21, 2006. <br />Mr. Billerbeck stated the Chair would entertain a motion on the approval of the minutes for the publiC hearing <br /> <br />held on Thursday, April 27, 2006. Mr. Miller moved to accept the April 27, 2006 minutes. Ms. Gauvin seconded the <br /> <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Second Item of Business: Disclosure of Ex-Parte communications. <br />There was no disclosure of ex-parte communications. <br /> <br />Third Item of Business: BA 06-04: 410 Diane Court - Scott Brasol. Variance request to Chapter II, Article VII, <br />Section 2-7.7, "Regulations for Required Yards", and Table 2-5.4, "Size and Dimension Regulations," to grant a 5- <br />foot encroachment into a required rear yard, creating a 15-foot rear yard in lieu of the required 2o-foot rear yard. <br /> <br />Mr. Billerbeck asked the applicant to come forward and make an opening statement. Mr. Scott Brasol, 410 <br /> <br />Diane Court, Casselberry, Florida, came forward and stated that he has outgrown his home and would like to expand his <br /> <br />home. <br /> <br />Mr. Matt Dorsten, Planner, reviewed the background information and the analysis of the request, provided in his <br /> <br />memorandum to the Board of Adjustment, dated May 19, 2006 (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br /> <br />Department). Mr. Dorsten stated the variance application does not meet all of the criteria for granting of a variance; <br />therefore, City staff can not support the request.
