<br />City Commission Meeting <br />October 22, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />6. Presentations/Commeudations <br /> <br />A. Mayor's Proclamation - The Mayor read a Proclamation proclaiming the week of October <br />22,2007 through November 3, 2007 as the "Week of the Family". <br /> <br />B. Departmental Presentation - A presentation regarding the upcoming Halloween <br />Spppktacular, that will be held on October 28, 2007, was presented by Julie Dross, <br />program Coordinator for the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> <br />C. Departmental Presentation - A Bike Trail update was presented by Matt Fortini, Parks <br />and Recreation Director and a representative from Gladding Jackson Karcher Anglin <br />Lopez Rinehart, Inc. Segment I ofthe Master Bike Plan is approximately 1.5 miles in <br />length and connects Wirz Park to two schools, two additional parks and the Zinnia Blike <br />Trail. The City has committed $1 13,500 towards the Casselberry Bike Master Plan <br />Update and design cost for Segment III. Seminole County has committed <br />$1,000,000 for design and construction for Segment I. <br /> <br />Both presentations by the Parks and Recreation Department staff are attached to an made a part of <br />these minutes. <br /> <br />7. Citizens' Comments: <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that persons who wish to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on <br />the Agenda may do so at this time. Please raise your hand to be recognized, give your name and <br />address to speak on any matter. All comments are to be directed to the Mayor and City <br />Commission. If you wish to be heard during Public Hearings, you will be recognized at that time. <br /> <br />The following individual came forward to address the Comm ission <br /> <br />1) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, spoke in opposition to <br />Consent Agenda Item C, Wal-Mart Shopping Center Site Plan and also opined that site <br />plans should not be an item for a Consent Agenda. He also expressed concerns regarding <br />the bike trail proposals. <br /> <br />8. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />The following items are presented for approval on the Consent Agenda. There is no discussion <br />on individual items unless the item is removed from the Consent Agenda by a City Commission <br />member and a single motion will approve all items. <br /> <br />A. Special Invoice and Minor Contracts Report <br /> <br />. Brown, Garganese, Weiss & D' Agresta - Services for September 2007 - $14,549.50 <br />Rowan South Construction Legal Issue Mold Fire Station 21 - $2,135.77 <br /> <br />. Lewis, Longman & Walker, City Police/Fire Pension Issues <br />Services through September 10, 2007 - $ I, I 32.48 <br />
