<br />City Commission Meeting <br />April 14, 2008 <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />The choices of action for the Commission regarding implementation of Street Lighting <br />fees are as follows: <br /> <br />· Proceed with Ordinance and Resolution of Assessment <br />· Proceed with Ordinance without Resolution of Assessment <br />. No action <br /> <br />Commission Discussion; <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner spoke in opposition to Street Lighting Assessment Fees - Action <br />was premature and she supported the No Action Option <br /> <br />Commissioner Solomon spoke in support of the Street Lighting Assessment Fees and <br />opted with the option to Proceed with Ordinance and Resolution of Assessment <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford supported the Option to Proceed with Ordinance without <br />Resolution of Assessment. She stated that the Resolution of Assessment should not go <br />forward without a Referendum. <br /> <br />Commissioner Miller supported the No Action option at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Goff supported the Option to Proceed with Ordinance without Resolution of <br />Assessment. He also spoke in support of a Referendum. <br /> <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Sandra T. Solomon to <br />approve Street Lighting Assessment Fees and proceed <br />with Ordinance and Resolution of Assessment. Motion <br />was seconded by Mayor Goff for discussion. <br /> <br />Motion failed on a 4 - 1 voice vote. Commissioner <br />Doerner, Commissioner Hufford, Commissioner Miller <br />and Mayor Goff dissenting. <br /> <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner to support the <br />option of No Action at this time. Motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Jon Miller. <br /> <br />Motion passed on a 3 - 2 voice vote. Commissioner <br />Solomon and Mayor Goff dissenting. <br /> <br />B.
