The City of Casselberry Lakes Management Advisory Board held a meeting Wednesday, May 7,2008 at 7:00 p.m., in the Casselberry Public Works Department, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, FL 32707. Appointed Board Members Present: Dave Manor Dana Callan James Withrow Matthew Martin Leslie Yates Appointed Board Members Absent: Bryan Demurat (excused) Anne Miller Terry Truong Scott Scherr (excused) Staff Members Present: Kelly Brock, Ph. D., P.E., CFM, City Engineer Kenna Henry, Senior Staff Assistant (Recording Secretary) 1. Call to Order: Initially, the Board had no quorum due to the low number of attendance. Mr. Manor arrived @ 7:43pm and called the meeting to order. 2. Roll Call: Mrs. Terry Truong, Mrs. Anne Miller, Mr. Bryan Demurat, and Mr. Scott Scherr were absent. 3. Approval of the LMAB Minutes of April 2, 2008: A motion was made to ap- prove the minutes as presented without changes. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. 4. Old Business: A. Lake Concord Stormwater Park Update: Dr. Brock advised the Board that the City has encountered some permitting difficulties with the stormwater park due to the proposed board walk. City staffis working with the St. Johns River Water Management District to address all areas of concems prior to formal sub- mittal for the permit in order to expedite the process. B. Secret Lake Re-vegetation Update: The Secret Lake re-vegetation project is substantially complete (before/during/after photos shown); Cord grass and pick- erel weed have been planted. The City is in the process of receiving a permit for Bulrush. The Orlando Wetland Park will provide bulrush to the City free of charge. The City is also exploring the option of planting Cypress trees in the fu- ture. Also discussed was the removal of some Chinese Tallow trees (invasive spe- cies) that were located on the island in Middle Lake Triplet.
