CDM

SCOPE OF SERVICES
FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY
LAKECONCORDSTORNnNATERPARK
CHANGE ORDER No.1
SEPTEMBER, 2008

I. Background

In October, 2007 Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. (ENGINEER) was retained by the City
of Casselberry Public Works Department (CITY) to provide consulting services for the
design of the Lake Concord Stormwater Park. The project provided for the design
and permitting of traditional park and recreational facilities as well as storm water
retrofitting of the project site. Major components included a boardwalk along the
southern and western perimeter of the lake up to Plumosa A venue, a parking lot, a
playground, an interactive water feature, walkways and stormwater facilities to
improve the quality of stormwater runoff to Lake Concord. The design also included
site work and the design of the foundation and concrete pad for the stage of the future
amphitheater. The park is located immediately north of the City of Casselberry City
Hall on the south shore of Lake Concord as shown in Figure 1. Based on the 90
percent design drawing review comments (dated August 12, 2008), the CITY has
requested additional design services as well as an additional opportunity to review
and comment on the 100 percent design drawings. Several of the tasks specified in
this scope of services also constitute re-design of certain features.

II. Scope of Services
Task 1 - General Site Design
Subtask 1.1 - Water Spigots
The ENGINEER will incorporate water spigots and associated piping into the design
throughout the park as requested by the CITY. Water spigots will be placed near each
water fountain, by the stage left area, and to the west, south, northeast and southeast
areas to allow for pressure washing of sidewalks. Spigots will be designed so that
they are flush to the ground with a "Rhino" type box with lid. Priority will be given to
actual in-ground spigots instead of quick couplers for which the CITY will provide a
product reference

Subtask 1.2 - Dumpster Area Placement
The ENGINEER will design a new dumpster area as requested by the CITY. The area
will be located adjacent and north to the two existing parking spaces next to City Hall
on Municipal Way. The design for this area will consist of a 10'x10' (outside
perimeter), screened (masonry wall) structure with an opaque gate facing Municipal
Way. The ENGINEER will take care to design the area so that at least two small (9' x
18' usable area, angled) parking spaces will remain.

S,IOOOOIBWMNBICasselberrylScopeandBudge1\SCOPlUltlSllp06dOCJl
