SCOPE OF SERVICES
FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY
GEE CREEK WEIR - EROSION CONTROL PROJECT
SEPTEMBER, 2008

I. Project Description

Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. (ENGINEER) has been selected by the Gty of
Casselberry Public Works Department (CITY) to provide consulting services for the
design of a replacement weir within the upstream reaches of Gee Creek,
approximately 100 feet north of Laura Street. The existing weir failed during
Hurricane Fay as water to the channel flowed around the sides of the weir and eroded
the side banks of the channel. The west channel bank has a sheet pile wall that failed
and the east bank is eroded just downstream of the weir. In order to repair the
erosion problems in vicinity of the weir, the improvements will include replacement
of approximately 100 linear feet of sheet pile wall on the west bank and stabilization
measures on the east bank. The improvement areas are shown in Figure 1.

II. Scope of Services
Task 1 - Data Collection
The CITY shall provide the following information that is available for the project
including existing record drawings, or as-built drawings, sub-basin delineation maps,
plat maps, GIS data, photos, permits, hydraulic and hydrologic models and
calculations, and any other pertinent project data that has not already been provided
to the ENGINEER.

Subtask 1.1 Site Visits - The ENGINEER will perform a total of two (2) site visits to
evaluate the condition of the existing weir and adjacent sheet pile wall. The
ENGINEER will compare the site survey with observed field conditions and contact
the CITY in the case of significant discrepancies that would require a modification to
this scope of services.

Subtask 1.2 Survey and Geotechnical Coordination and Review - This task includes
coordination with a professional land surveyor and a geotechnical firm to help them
understand the project goals for completing the topographic survey and geotechnical
exploration. The ENGINEER will contract for the services of a professional land
surveyor, Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation (SSMC) to collect
detailed survey within the project area. Topographic coverage will be limited to the
project area, delineated on Figure 1.

The ENGINEER will perform geotechnical services in-house, utilizing the expertise of
Bill Fox, P.E. The ENGINEER will work with a drilling subcontractor to perform
three (3) soil borings at the project site.
