<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />MiDute. of July 14, 2008 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 4 ofl4 <br /> <br />Chinchor Electric, Inc. <br />Final Change Order No.2 - Traffic Signalization <br />Services on the Triplet Lake Drive and U.S. Highway <br />17-92 Intersection Improvements Project $10,100.70 <br /> <br />Introdnction: The Special Invoice Report policy was adopted by the Commission to streamline the financial <br />process for approval of certain invoices, awards of bids, initial contracts and change orders on a project in <br />excess of 5% of the total project. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: Funds for the City Attorney Invoices are available in the FY 2008 Administration Legal <br />budget from Account No. 001-0140-514.31.01. Funds for the City Labor Attorney invoice are available in <br />the FY 2008 Administration budget from AccountNo. 001-0140-514.31.02. Funds for the Chinchor Election <br />Change Order No.2 are available in the Infrastructure Surtax Fund, Account No. 114-0710-541.63.43. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and staff recommended approval of the Special Invoice Report. <br /> <br />B. Sole Source Purchase of New Digital TV Camera for CUES Truck - Public Works <br />Distribution and Collection Division <br /> <br />Introduction: This agenda item requests approval to purchase a new digital TV camera for the CUES Truck <br />to replace the outdated equipment currently on-hand for the Public Works Distribution and Collection <br />Division. <br /> <br />Bndget Impact: Funds to cover the cost of the camera ($17,480.00) are available in the Distribution and <br />Collection Other Equipment Capital Outlay Account No. 401-0751-536.67.12. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of the sole <br />source purchase of a new digital TV camera for the CUES Truck. <br /> <br />C. Edward BYrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant <br /> <br />Introduction: The City received notification from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) <br />Office of Criminal Justice Grants that $74,2 I 5 in grant funds had been designated for use by all <br />governmental agencies within Seminole County. Based upon a meeting chaired by Dr. David Medley of the <br />Seminole County Division of Community Assistance, the City of Casselberry has been approved to receive <br />$9,279 of the $74,215 for law enforcement technology. Receipt of the funds is dependent upon City <br />Commission approval of the Justice Assistance Grant application for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice <br />Assistance Grant, and allocation of the funds. The Police Department will purchase in-car digital recording <br />equipment with the grant money. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: A budget increase of $9,279 will be recognized upon receipt of the funds. No match is <br />required. <br />
