Resolution 08-1892 - Yankee Lake Alternative Water Supplv Proiect Resolution of <br />Support <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, SUPPORTING THE ST. JOHNS <br />RIVER W A TER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT' S PLANNING FOR THE USEOF THE ST. <br />JOHNS RIVER AS A SURF ACE WATER SOURCE, OPPOSING A MORATORIUM ON <br />THE ISSUANCE OF CONSUMPTIVE USE PERMITS FOR WITHDRAWALS FROM <br />THE ST. JOHNS RIVER; SUPPORTING THE ISSUANCE OF A CONSUMPTIVE USE <br />PERMIT TO SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR THE WITHDRAWAL OF 5.5 MILLION <br />GALLONS PER DAY FROM THE ST. JOHNS RIVER; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE <br />DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION." <br /> <br />Introduction: Resolution 08-1892 expresses support for Seminole County's pending Consumptive Use <br />Permit (CUP) application and refute opposition plans to declare a moratorium on future withdrawals from <br />the St. Johns River. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: There is no budget impacted expected. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />08-1892. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 08-1894 - Award ofBidl Agreement with LaRue Planning & Management <br />Services. Inc. for Comprehensive Plan Amendments <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH LARUE PLANNING & MANAGEMENT <br />SERVICES, INC. FOR PLANNING SERVICES TO PROVIDE AMENDMENTS TO THE <br />CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AS MANDA TED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA BY <br />JUNE 1,2009; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />Introduction: Resolution 08-1894 provides for an agreement with LaRue Planning & Management Services, <br />Inc. in the amount of$48,500. LaRue Planning & Management Services, Inc. provided the most competitive <br />proposal to provide planning services to amend the adopted Comprehensive Plan to include State-mandated <br />requirements and community initiatives. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: Sufficient funds are available in the FY 2008 Budget in Account No. 001-0210-513-31.00, <br />Professional Services. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager, the Finance Director and the Community Development Director <br />recommended approval of Resolution 08-1894. <br />
