<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />March 31, 2008 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br />Metsopoulos has been invited to the CRA Retreat because he could provide information on the areas adjacent to the <br /> <br />City's Community Redevelopment District. <br /> <br />Ms. Lipscomb said Mr. Ken Hoffmann is no longer on the Community Redevelopment Agency Board. She <br /> <br />said he has expressed some interest in continuing to serve in an advisory committee role. Mr. Hoffmann has served <br /> <br />on the Steering Committee and he is interested in continuing that role. Ms. Lipscomb said Mr. Hoffmann has been <br /> <br />invited to participate in the eRA Retreat. <br /> <br />Ms. Lipscomb encouraged the Board members to spend some time reviewing the Community <br /> <br />Redevelopment District area as it exists today and to consider possible future development options for the area. She <br /> <br />suggested the Board come prepared to engage Glatting Jackson at the CRA Retreat. <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise introduced Ms. Pamela Lynch, Economic Development Coordinator, to the Community <br /> <br />Redevelopment Agency. Ms. Lynch said her background is in land development and real estate investment trust. <br /> <br />She said she is working on developing a website for economic development and creating brochures. She said she <br /> <br />plans to meet with the business owners to provide information regarding incentive and grant opportunities available <br /> <br />to businesses. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sandi Solomon said the County RPA has an incentive program available for the small <br /> <br />businesses along US Highway 17/92 to assist with improvements to their property. She said the program has been <br /> <br />very successful in the Sanford area. She said the County RPA is conducting a study regarding assembling smaller <br /> <br />parcels along US Highway 17/92. <br /> <br />Tenth Item of Business: Adjourn <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Tapes of the meeting are available as a matter of public record. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Secretary <br />
