<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />February 22, 2008 <br />Page 3 of 8 <br /> <br />Fifth Item of Business: CRA Annual Report <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise reviewed staff memo dated February 20, 2008 regarding the 2007 CRA Annual Report (a copy <br /> <br />is on file in the Community Development Department). Mr. Paradise requested the CRA review the 2007 CRA <br /> <br />Annual Report and provide input to staff. The following corrections were made to the Message From the CRA <br /> <br />Chairman portion of the annual report: <br /> <br />1. Change text to all black text. <br />2. Replace the word "slated" in the text of the Chairman's Message. <br />3. Add "please" to the second line of the first paragraph of the Message from the Chairman. <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise said he would make the requested changes. <br /> <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the final design of the 15 acre project. Mr. Paradise said the final <br /> <br />design would be based on the increased densities and intensities. <br /> <br />Sixth Item of Business: Seminole County, 17/92 Wayfindings Signs <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise reviewed staff memo dated February 20, 2008 (a copy is on file in the Community <br /> <br />Development Department). Mr. Paradise explained the proposal shows blue poles; however that is inconsistent with <br /> <br />the black poles that have been used in the CRA downtown area. He said that the City of Sanford also requested <br /> <br />black poles. <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise said the signs identified the communities they are located in by the logo at the top of the sign. <br /> <br />He said that the City of Casselberry would like to request the design of the logo shown on the preliminary sign detail <br /> <br />be changed to the "fern" logo. <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise requested the CRA recommend to the City Commission the acceptance of the signs, with the <br /> <br />change to black poles, modification of the community logo and specify the locations for the five signs within <br /> <br />corridor is appropriate. <br /> <br />Mr. Daigle made a motion to recommend approval to the City Commission for the acceptance of sign <br /> <br />including changing the pole color to black, changing the logo, and approve generally the location of the five signs <br /> <br />within the corridor. Mr. Jones seconded the motion <br />
