This propel1y was inspected by CEO Lawrence at about 4:30 pm on 06/12/2008 and remains non-compliant with a fine of $25.00 per day assessed to the propeliy with the CEB approval. The City requests the fine be imposed. Richard L. Henderson stated for the record the case # is 08-00348. Mr. Henderson asked if Cynthia Robel1s was in the audience. CEO Lawrence stated she had not heard from Ms. Robelis. Alvera AmlOur made a motion to find Respondent in CEB Case # 08-00348 did not comply with thc Code Enforcement Board's Order of 05/12/2008 by the date speci fied in that Order and that the fine wi 1\ be imposed as set forth in that Order. Charlene Glancy seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. NE\V CASES CE-08-00635 Minimum maintenance 3-10.3 4270 S Hwy 17/92 Rubin, Sheldon/owner Michele Lawrence, Code Enforcement Officer, stated this violation was observed by her prior to 03/31/2008, on this date a complaint was received from the City Manager's officc and referred to Code Enforcement. Notice was mailed on 04/01/2008 to the propeliy owner, Sheldon Rubin. To date 06/12/2008 this case remains non-compliant. CEO Lawrence then showed photos of the property. This building used to be the Crab House, many years ago. Debra Babb-Nutcher advised CEO Lawrence that she may want to describe the photos. CEO Lawrence desclibed the photos and stated that primarily most of the windows are broken. At this time there is no disagreement of the condition of the propel1y, what the City was there to present is that Mr. Rubin requests and extension in order to make a decision on how to act on this property. Eithcr to completely restore thc building, remove the building, or demolish the building. CEO Lawrence then submitted an email to the Code Board Member's that showed some frustration from Bob Thomley, who was somewhat contracted by Mr. Rubin to come out and begin the asbestos process. An asbestos survey has been done; the results are not in yet. The asbestos survey was done in preparation for possible demolition.
