<br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION/ <br />LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY <br /> <br />The City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency held a public meeting on <br /> <br />Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 6:30 P.M. in the Casselberry City Hall, Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, <br /> <br />Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />Michael Buchanan, Chairman <br />David Henson, Vice Chairman <br />Harley Parkhurst <br />Stanley Weinroth <br />Nathan Van Meter, Jr. <br />Edmund Bakalla <br />Anthony Aramendia <br />Daniel Hale, Alternate <br /> <br />Staff members present: <br /> <br />Charles Senzee, Planner <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br /> <br />First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the Public Hearing held on June 25, 2008. <br /> <br />Mr. Buchanan stated the Chair was open for a motion on the approval of minutes for the public meeting held <br /> <br />on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Mr. Henson moved to accept the June 25, 2008 minutes. Mr. Van Meter seconded <br /> <br />the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Second Item of Business: CU 08-06: Michael Kolar: Conditional use request to allow a two-story, 1,428 sq. <br />ft. garage in an R-9 zoning district. Property located at 83 North Winter Park Drive. Casselberry, Florida. <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Senzee, Planner, reviewed the information provided in his memorandum dated July 2, 2008, to <br /> <br />the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br /> <br />Department). Mr. Senzee distributed a letter from the applicant dated July 9,2008 stating the applicant's intention to <br /> <br />move into the Winter Park Drive house (a copy of the letter is attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Senzee <br /> <br />said staff finds that the proposed structure is compatible with the surrounding land uses and if properly used will not <br /> <br />change the residential nature of the property. The proposed garage will also serve a vital role in the applicant's <br /> <br />future house design. However, the proposed structure is not compatible with the existing development on site and <br />
