CITY COMMISSION REPORTS/COMMENTS <br /> <br />Commissioner Jon Miller - Seat #2: <br /> <br />Reported he attended the April 14, 2007 Metroplan meeting. <br />Reported he attended the Casselbeny Rotary Club's International Folk Festival on April 14, 2007. <br />Gave special recognition to Hank Lander for organizing the event, and to Commissioner Solomon <br />for coordinating the art competition. Thanked City staff for their assistance with the event. <br /> <br />Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford - Seat #4: <br /> <br />. Reported she attended the Casselbeny Rotary Club's International Folk Festival on April 14, 2007. <br />Noted the Casselbeny Rotary Club's Take a Kid Fishing event was coming up soon. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sandra T. Items discussed <br />included a fire/ems study that is currently being conducted. <br />Reported she attended the recent County CRA Advisory Committee meeting. Distributed copies of <br />a flyer for a brownfields workshop which will be held in Ocala on Thursday, May 10, 2007. <br />Expressed condolences to Commissioner Hufford for the recent passing away of her mother. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Goff - Seat #5: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Expressed condolences to Commissioner Hufford for the recent passing away of her mother. <br />Reported he attended the recent Joint City County Advisory Board meeting. Noted the meetings are <br />broadcasted on SGTV. Further noted that County Commissioner Michael McLean is the new Chair <br />and Vice Mayor Doerner is the Vice Chair of the Advisory Board. Items discussed included the <br />fire/ems study and a move to regionalize the water authority. <br />Reported the City hosted the Mayors and Managers Group meeting on April 12, 2007. <br />Reported he met with the new consultant regarding the City Center project, as did the rest ofthe City <br />Commission, and is very happy to see the process to give that project true direction moving forward <br />in a positive manner. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
