<br />LiQht Trespass - Liqht fallinQ where it is not wanted or needed, qenerally caused by a liqht on a <br />property that shines onto the property of others. <br />LiQhtinQ - Any or all parts of a luminaire that function to produce liQht. <br />LiQhtinQ, Animated - FlashinQ or movinq liqhts that otherwise chanqe at intervals more frequently <br />than once each six seconds, <br />LiQhtinQ Subiect to this Ordinance - All uses within non-residential zoninq districts (OR, CL. CG, <br />CS, I. PS), multi-family, subdivisions, and mobile home park districts and all non-residential uses within PRD, <br />PMX-L and PMX-H. Streets in residential subdivisions shall be subiect to this ordinance as set forth in Section <br />6.C.2.e.2. <br /> <br />Luminaire - The complete liqhtinq unit. includinq the lamp, the fixture, and other parts, <br />Non-Essential - Liqhtinq that is not necessary for an intended purpose, such as site safety. <br />Recessed. A lamp built into a horizontal fixture or portion of <br />a fixture, so that the lamp is fully cut-off and no part of the lamp <br />extends or protrudes beyond the underside of a fixture or portion of a <br />fixture (See Fiqure 2). <br />Shielded, Fullv - Constructed in such a manner that allliqht emitted by the fixture, either directly from <br />the lamp or a diffusinq element. or indirectly by reftection or refraction from any part of the luminaire, is not <br />proiected above 65 deqrees of a vertical line runninq throuqh the fixture to the qround (See Fiqure 1 ). <br />Shielded, Partiallv - Shielded in such a manner that more than zero but less than ten percent of the <br />liqht emitted directly from the lamp or indirectly from any part of the fixture is projected between 65 deqrees <br />and the horizontal plane of the fixture (See Fiqure 1 ). <br />Special District{s}- Areas within the City of Casselberry that are individually demarcated throuqh <br />special studies or qovernment requlations and that contain desiqn criteria or standards specific to that area. <br />Examples within the City include the Seminola Blvd. Small Area Study, Phases I and II. and the Community <br />Redevelopment Area. <br />Sports Complex - As used within this ordinance. "sports complex" shall include, but shall not be <br />limited to, public and private ballfields and stadiums, qolf drivinq ranqes, and other venues that require qreater <br />liqhtinq heiqhts to effectively illuminate an area for sport or related activities. <br />Street LiQhtina - Poles and luminaries used to illuminate any road or street. public or private, of <br /> <br />Figure 2 <br /> <br />==~ <br /> <br />,~ <br /> <br />Page 6 of 14 <br />Ordinance 02-1046 <br />
