PRESENTATION BY THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT - INFORMATION <br />SYSTEMS DIVISION - THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY'S E-MAIL SYSTEM BY <br />JOE SINA Y. INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Sinay, Information Systems Manager, gave a PowerPoint presentation overview of the City of <br />Casselberry's e-mail system and efforts to control SPAM. A copy of the PowerPoint presentation is <br />attached to and made a part ofthese minutes. <br /> <br />7. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Goff announced that persons who wished to make comment or inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. The following individuals came forward: <br /> <br />I) Mary Ann Sigurdson, wife of the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce's President, Dori <br />Sigurdson, (did not disclose address), announced the Casselberry of Commerce has <br />officially formed an economic development committee and that she is serving as co-chair <br />of that committee. Mrs. Sigurdson stated the Chamber is looking forward to working with <br />the City toward enhancing economic development in the business community, and is <br />supportive ofthe City creating an economic development job position in the future. <br /> <br />2) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns about whether or not his <br />comments regarding Centex Homes were in past meeting minutes. Mr. Casselberry stated <br />he thought the City Commission needed to ask the City Attorney if she has been on the State <br />of Nevada website to personally check on the incorporation matter of Centex Homes. He <br />also voiced concerns about the Concord Center demolition and other recent building <br />demolitions on U.S. Highway 17-92 because nothing new has been constructed on the demo <br />properties. Mr. Casselberry stated the shore of Lake Concord looks very good and the City <br />should consult its real estate broker for marketing assistance. He further stated since the <br />water clarity is very good at Lake Concord, the City should consider utilizing the lake as a <br />public mechanized water recreation area to divert those activities from some of the other <br />area lakes where there are complaints about such activities. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />A. Expenditures from State Forfeiture Fund and Related Budget Transfer - Police Department <br /> <br />Funds available in the State Forfeiture Fund are requested to be used to have Lieutenant Scott Pleasants <br />attend the 53'" Command Officers Development Course, which is a comprehensive course of study for those <br />law enforcement individuals desiring to advance their management careers. <br /> <br />BTR #07-25: <br /> <br />INCREASE Acct. #104-0000-389.90 <br />(Other Non-Operating Sources - Fund Balance Carryover) <br />INCREASE Acct. #104-0610-521-54 <br />(Training Program) <br /> <br />$ 3,295 <br /> <br />$ 3,295 <br />
