<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 5, 2000 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 2 of17 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 00-986 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />OF RECREATION/OPEN SPACE (ROS) FOR THAT PARCEL DESCRIBED IN <br />SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CODlFICA TlON, CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 00-986 was published in the Orlando Sentinel on Sunday, <br />May 21, 2000. Ordinance 00-986 was passed on first reading on May I, 2000. <br /> <br />Mr. Wells stated the applicant has requested a Future Land Use Map designation change from Medium <br />Density Residential (MDR - 13 dwelling units per acre) to Recreation Open Space (ROS), of the eastern 100 <br />feet of the property known as Tract 1. Mr. Wells noted this request was a requirement from a previous <br />approval to change Tract 2 ofthe property to Commercial (C), and would create a buffer between the planned <br />furniture store and the Carriage Hill subdivision. The Planning & Zoning Commission/Land Planning <br />Agency recommended approval of the change at its April 12, 2000 meeting. Staff recommended approval <br />of Ordinance 00-986 on second reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to speak either for or against <br />Ordinance 00-986. No one came forward. Mayor Pronovost closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Henson moved to approve and adopt <br />Ordinance 00-986 on second and final reading. Motion <br />was seconded by Vice Mayor Clark. Motion carried <br />unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote ofthe City Commission: <br /> <br />Commissioner Sheppard - Yes; Commissioner Henson - Yes; Commissioner Hart _ Yes; Vice Mayor <br />Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed 5 _ O. <br /> <br />II. SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 00-987 - SMALL SCALE FUTURE LAND <br />USE MAP AMENDMENT - LEIGHTY <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Henson moved to read Ordinance 00- <br />987 by title only. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Sheppard. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote. <br />
