RESOLUTION 07-1779 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF MODIFICATIONS TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE COASTAL FLORIDA POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION - LIEUTENANTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry and the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association - Lieutenants have developed modifications to the current agreement; and WHEREAS, Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association leadership has endorsed the modifications and submitted them to the employees represented by the unit; and WHEREAS, the modifications to the agreement provides for maintaining and improving effective procedures; and WHEREAS, the City desires equitable compensation and programs for all City employees. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The Mayor of the City of Casselberry, Florida, on behalf of the City Commission, is hereby authorized to execute the Memorandums of Understanding, attached as "Exhibit A", to modifY the collective bargaining agreement with the Coastal Florida Police Benevolent Association. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of the Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, or unlawful, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
