RESOLUTION 06-1664 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AMENDED CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AND SPECIAL EDITIONS PUBLISHING, INC TO PROVIDE A MONTHLY COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on June 28, 2004, the City entered into an Agreement with Special Editions Publishing, Inc. of Longwood, Florida to provide a bi-monthly newsletter service to the Casselberry's utilities customers; and WHEREAS, the City and Special Editions Publishing, Inc. desire to enter into a new agreement to provide the publication on a monthly basis commencing with the October 2006 issue; and WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is the public interest to expand communication with the citizens of Casselberry and the surrounding community by increasing the frequency of the newsletter distribution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby accepts the contract with Special Editions Publishing, Inc., attached as "Attachment A", and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. The City Commission hereby accepts the terms and conditions as presented in the Agreement. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or part of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed SECTION IV. Severabilitv. If any section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this day of , AD 2006.
