<br />ARTICLE 10 <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS <br /> <br />10.1 Except as modified by a specific provision of this Agreement, the Union agrees that the <br />employees covered hereunder shall comply with all rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and <br />practices of the City and the Police Department, and any amendments thereto. <br /> <br />10.2 Should the City and/or the Department exercise its right to formulate, amend, revise, <br />and/or implement any and all rules, regulations, directives, policies, procedures, and practices, <br />the City or the Department shall provide a courtesy copy of any new (or amended) rule, <br />regulation, policy, directive, procedure, or practice to the Union at least seventy-two (72) hours <br />prior to the implementation, unless the operational need of the Department dictate otherwise. <br />Simultaneous with providing a courtesy copy to the Union, the City or the Department shall post <br />at the police station the new (or amended) rule, regulation, policy, directive, procedure, or <br />practice. "Posting" may be accomplished through electronic mail, telecommunication, bulletin <br />board posting, or any other appropriate means. <br /> <br />10.3 In the event the City or the Department exercises its right to issue a new (or amended) <br />rule, regulation, policy, directive, procedure, or practice, no bargaining unit employee shall be <br />disciplined for violation of any such new or amended rule, regulation, policy, procedure, or <br />operating bulletin until the implementation of the regulation, policy, directive, procedure, or <br />practice in accordance with the above procedure. <br /> <br />14 <br />
