FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1128 - RENAMING OF A SECTION OF <br /> STATE ROAD 436 (CONTINUED FROM APRIL 12, 2004) <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to read Ordinance 04-1128 <br />by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Doerner. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1128 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING <br />THE RENAMING OF STATE ROAD 436 FROM THE CITY LIMITS AT THE ORANGE <br />COUNTY LINE TO THE CITY LIMITS APPROXIMATELY 990 FEET WEST OF U.S. <br />HIGHWAY 17-92; CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT SEGMENT OF STATE ROAD <br />436 FROM SEMORAN BOULEVARD TO CASSELBERRY BOULEVARD; <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Chief Pavlis stated Ordinance 04-1128 was continued on first reading at the April 12, <br />2004 City Commission meeting. Chief Pavlis stated pursuant to direction given by the City Commission at <br />that time, should the City proceed with the renaming of State Road 436 within the city limits, the first reading <br />of Oral;marine 04-1128 will need to be continued to June 14, 2004 in order to comply with Section 68-133(c) <br />of City Code which requires 30 days' written notice prior to first public hearing to the affected property <br />owners by certified mail, return receipt requested. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to remove the first reading of <br />Ordinance 04-1128 from the Public Hearings section of <br />the agenda and to place the item on the Regular <br />Agenda as item (2), renumbering Commission/Staff <br />Reports to item (3). Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Hart. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost asked if them was anyone in the audience that wished to request participation on any <br />agenda item, or address the Commission on any other matter. The following individuals came forward: <br /> <br />1 ) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, requested an opportunity to address Regular <br />Agenda items ( 1 ), Special Invoice and Minor Contracts/Amendments Authorization Report, <br />and (2), First Reading of Orffmance 04-1128. Mr. Casselberry voiced concerns and stated <br />he objected to the pending transaction of the sale of property from CIP to the City, located <br />on the corner of Triplet Lake Drive and U.S. Highway 17-92. <br /> <br />No else came fonvard. Mayor Pronovost closed Audience Participation. <br /> <br /> <br />
