CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 26, 2004 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 16 <br /> <br />asphalt will allow for the expansion of Anniversary Park as part of the redevelopment of the City Hall <br />campus. The closure will be posted on the affected roadway for three (3) months and then the actual closure <br />to vehicular traffic is tentatively scheduled to occur this Summer. Currently it was not planned to open the <br />remaining section of Qunil Pond Circle to Sunset Drive. Staff rec, ommended approval of Ordinance 04-1125 <br />on second reading. <br /> <br />Public Itearing: Public Itearing: Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished <br />to address Ordinance 04-1125. The following individuals came forward: <br /> <br /> 1 ) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 2) Mansukhla[ Parmar, 341 Casselgrove Cove, stated he was the owner of a business located <br /> in the strip center in front of City Hall and spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 3) Jeff Stoessell, 70 North Sunset Drive, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-i 125. <br /> <br /> 4) Emma Robb, 241 South Triplet Lake Drive, spoke in opposition to Orffmanee 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 5) John Burke, 120 Quail Pond Circle, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 6) Robert Ledford, 150 Triplet Lake Drive, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 7) Rocky Brock, 141 Quail Pond Circle, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 8) Ronald Britz, 241 South Triplet Lake Drive, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br /> 9) Dana Callan, 110 North Sunset Drive, spoke in opposition to Ordinance 04-1125. <br /> <br />No one else came forward. Mayor Pronovost closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commission Discussion: Commissioner Cook voiced concerns regarding impacts to traffic patterns, area <br />residents and the businesses located in the strip center in front of City Hall. Discussion ensued regarding <br />a traffic study of the area, related intersection improvements, parking issues for the City Hall complex and <br />impacts on the strip center businesses by closing off access to the strip center from Melody Lane. <br /> <br /> MOTION: Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Ordinance 04- <br /> 1125 on second and final reading as presented. Motion <br /> was seconded by Commissioner Doerner. Motion <br /> carried 4 - 1 (Commissioner Cook dissenting) by roll <br /> call vote. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote of the City Commission: <br /> <br /> Commissioner Doerner - Yes; Commissioner Cook - No; Commissioner Hart - Yes; Vice Mayor <br /> Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes. Motion passed 4 - 1. <br /> <br /> <br />
