CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 24, 2004 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 13 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to approve Ordinance 04- <br />1131 on first reading as presented. Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Hart. Motion carried <br />unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote of the City Commission: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doemer - Yes; Commissioner Cook - Yes; Commissioner Hart - Yes; Vice Mayor <br />Clark - Yes; Mayor Pronovost - Yes, Motion passed 5 - 0. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Date: The next public hearing for Ordinance 04-1131 is scheduled for Monday, June 7, <br />2004. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to request participation on any <br />agenda item, or address the Commission on any other matter. The following individuals came forward: <br /> <br />1 ) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, requested an opportunity to address Regular <br />Agenda items ( 1 ), Special Invoice and Minor Contracts/Amendments Authorization Report, <br />and (3), Resolution 04-1496. Mr. Casselberry voiced concerns regarding advice given by <br />Mrs. Reischmann to the City Commission at the May I0, 2004 meeting regarding a court <br />order prohibiting him from discussing any business relating to CIP. Mrs. Reischmann stated <br />she was in receipt of a letter from Attorney Mike Clifford indicating that Mr. Casselberry <br />is prohibited from being involved in any action regarding CIP and its relating back to the <br />order in the Martha Casselberry estate whereby Bill Bataglia was named as sole <br />spokesperson for matters regarding CIP. Mrs. Reischmann stated she understands Mr. <br />Casselberry's concerns regarding his right to speak as a citizen and not as a representative <br />of CIP. Mrs. Reischmama stated upon further discussion with the Mayor, he offered <br />willingness to accept anything that Mr. Casselberry wishes to express in writing stipulating <br />it is as a citizen in order to protect the City and Mr. Casselberry from possibly violating the <br />court order. <br /> <br />No one else came forward.
