CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 10, 2004 - Regular Meeting <br />Page3 of 17 <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark thanked the following sponsors of the contest: CPH Engineers; Stenstrom, McIntosh, <br />Colbert, Wl~t gram, Reischmann & Partlow, P.A.; The Tdece Company; Sunshine Building & Development <br />Corporation, and TEI Engineers & Planners. Vice Mayor Clark noted school winners from Casselberry <br />Elementary School, English Estates Elementary School and Milwee Middle School were presented their <br />awards at the April 26, 2004 City Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark declared a recess at 7:21 p.m. The meeting was reconvened at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. David Maxim, Regional General Manager and Kevin Price, Regional Engineering Manager of Progress <br />Energy Florida, gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the Reliability Improvement Study, as required <br />by Progress Energy's franchise agreement with the City of Casselberry. A copy of the presentation is <br />attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />I. SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1127 - ANNEXATION OF HARTMAN <br /> <br />PROPERTY - MARION LANE <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Hart moved to read Ordinance 04-1127 <br />by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Doerner. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1127 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO <br />VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION; MAKING FINDINGS; ANNEXING TO AND <br />INCLUDING WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED IN SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 21S, RANGE <br />30E; REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR THE INTERIM PROVISION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />REGULATIONS; PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN COUNTY LICENSEES FOLLOWING <br />THEIR BUSINESS, TRADE OR / PROFESSION WITHIN THE LANDS TO BE <br />ANNEXED MAY CONTINUE TO FOLLOW SUCH BUSINESS, TRADE OR <br />PROFESSION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CORPORATE LIMITS WITHOUT THE <br />NECESSITY OF FURTHER QUALIFICATION THEREFORE; PROVIDING THAT <br />EFFECTIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW, THE LANDS TO BE ANNEXED SHALL <br />BE ASSESSED FOR PAYMENT OF MUNICIPAL AD VALOREM TAXES; DIRECTING <br />THE CITY CLERK TO FILE CERTIFIED COPIES OF THE ORDINANCE WITH THE <br />CLERK OF COURT AND THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF <br />FLORIDA; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br /> <br />
