CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 14, 2020 — Special Meeting <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Mayor Henson presented flowers to former Mayor Glancy as a token of his appreciation of what she has done <br />for the City during her tenure as Mayor. <br />Former Mayor Glancy passed the gavel to Mayor Henson who presided over the remainder of the meeting. <br />5. RECOGNITION OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE BY <br />MAYOR/COMMISSIONER CHARLENE GLANCY <br />A. Resolution 20-31.98 — Recognition of Dedicated Public Service by <br />Mayor/Commissioner Charlene Glancy <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />IN RECOGNITION OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, SEMINOLE COUNTY AND THE ENTIRE CENTRAL FLORIDA COMMUNITY <br />BY MAYOR/COMMISSIONER CHARLENE GLANCY." <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner read Resolution 20-3198 in its entirety, formally recognizing and expressing <br />appreciation for former Mayor Glancy's twelve years of dedicated service on the City Commission. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 20-3198, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote 5-0. <br />Ms. Gardner advised that after adjournment of the Special Meeting, there would be a time for a photo <br />opportunity with Mayor Glancy prior to commencement of the Regular City Commission meeting at 5:00 <br />p.m. <br />City Manager Randy Newlon presented former Mayor Glancy with flowers on behalf of the City as a gesture <br />of appreciation for her service. Each of the Commissioners, the City Manager, the City Attorney and the City <br />Clerk expressed their appreciation to former Mayor Glancy for her service and passion for the City of <br />Casselberry and its citizens, and shared some of their recollections about working with her during her tenure <br />on the City Commission. <br />Former Mayor Glancy recognized former City Commissioner Jon Miller and several others in the audience <br />and thanked them for attending. She then shared some of her experiences during her years of service and <br />memories specific to each Commissioner, the City Manager, the City Attorney, Mayor Henson and some City <br />staff members. She expressed appreciation to the City Commission and all City staff for working with her <br />through the years to accomplish good things for the City. She noted that all the City had accomplished during <br />her term as Mayor was through a team effort with the other Commissioners and City staff and she could not <br />walk away feeling any more confident in the hands that would be taking care of the community from this <br />point. <br />
