RESOLUTION 25-3504 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE NAMING OF CASSELBERRY WHEEL PARK EAST; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, in 2018, as part of the Parks, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan process, the City Commission identified and prioritized six park projects; and WHEREAS, since its inception, the "northwest property" was unofficially identified as the "Wheel Park Phase I" Project for construction and grant purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Commission identified the "northwest property" as one of the six park projects listed on the bond referendum that was passed by the voters on March 17, 2020; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board reviewed and made a motion to recommend that the City Commission officially name the "Wheel Park Phase I" Project as Wheel Park East at their regular scheduled meeting held on February 11, 2025; and WHEREAS, naming the facility, Casselberry Wheel Park East, located at 951 N Winter Park Dr, will improve the identifying and marketing efforts of the City and further strengthen the identity of the City as a regional destination for all wheels; and WHEREAS, an official ribbon cutting ceremony, will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until noon to officially open the new facility to the public. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves naming the "Wheel Park Phase I" Project as Casselberry Wheel Park East. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
