RESOLUTION 25-3504 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE NAMING OF <br />CASSELBERRY WHEEL PARK EAST; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, in 2018, as part of the Parks, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan process, <br />the City Commission identified and prioritized six park projects; and <br />WHEREAS, since its inception, the "northwest property" was unofficially identified as the <br />"Wheel Park Phase I" Project for construction and grant purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission identified the "northwest property" as one of the six <br />park projects listed on the bond referendum that was passed by the voters on March 17, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board reviewed and made a motion to <br />recommend that the City Commission officially name the "Wheel Park Phase I" Project as Wheel <br />Park East at their regular scheduled meeting held on February 11, 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, naming the facility, Casselberry Wheel Park East, located at 951 N Winter <br />Park Dr, will improve the identifying and marketing efforts of the City and further strengthen the <br />identity of the City as a regional destination for all wheels; and <br />WHEREAS, an official ribbon cutting ceremony, will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, <br />from 9:00 a.m. until noon to officially open the new facility to the public. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves naming the <br />"Wheel Park Phase I" Project as Casselberry Wheel Park East. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
