CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />The City of Casselberry Board of Adjustment held a public workshop/hearing on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 6;30 <br />P.M., in the Casselberry City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present were: <br />Mary Anne Gauvin <br />Luis Guzman <br />Brian Suto <br />Phyllis Wallace, Alternate <br />Members absent: <br />Earl McMullen <br />Staff members present: <br />Sandra Smith, Chief Planner <br />Eric Raasch, Planner <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br />First Item of Business: Workshop- Unified Land Development Regulations Section 1-2.7, Variances and the Board of <br />Adjustment <br />The City Attorney distributed and reviewed a handout outlining the criteria necessary to approve a variance (a copy is attached <br />and made a part of the minutes). <br />Second Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the public hearing held on Thursday, August 26, 2010. <br />Ms. Gauvin stated the Chair would entertain a motion on the approval of the minutes for the public hearing held on <br />Thursday, August 26, 2010. Mr. Guzman moved to accept the August 26, 2010 minutes, Mr, Suto seconded the motion, The Board <br />was polled and the motion passed unanimously, <br />Third Item of Business: Disclosure of Ex Porte communications. <br />No disclosure of Ex Porte Communications was made by the Board. <br />Fourth Item of Business; BA 10.06: Walmart. Variance request to Article XVI, Section 3.16.3(8)(3)(1) "On-premises <br />permanent sign regulations" of the Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations to allow 550.8 square feet of facade <br />signage in lieu of the allowable 350 maximum square feet of facade signage allowable for asingle-tenant commercial <br />property. <br />Ms. Gauvin asked the applicant to come forward. Mr. Bill Tomala, Cuhaci & Peterson,1925 Prospect Avenue, Orlando, <br />Florida came forward. Mr. Tomala reviewed a PowerPoint presentation (a copy is attached and made a part of the minutes), Mr. <br />Tomala stated that Walmart is currently going through a rebranding and an interior store remodeling.
