CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />The City of Casselberry Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 6:30 P.M., <br />in the Casselberry City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />Members present were: <br />Mary Anne Gauvin <br />Luis Guzman <br />Brian Suto <br />Phyllis Wallace, Alternate <br />Members absent were: <br />Earl McMullen <br />Arlin Armour <br />Staff members present: <br />Sandra Smith, Chief Planner <br />Eric Raasch, Planner I <br />Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant <br />First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the public hearing held on Thursday, June 24, 2010. <br />Ms, Gauvin stated the Chair would entertain a motion on the approval of the minutes for the public hearing held <br />on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Mr. Guzman moved to accept the June 24, 2010 minutes. Ms. Wallace seconded the <br />motion. The Board was polled and the motion passed unanimously. <br />Second Item of Business: Disclosure of Ex Parte communications. <br />No disclosure of Ex Parte Communications was made by the Board. <br />Third Item of Business: BA 10.04: 614 Doheny WaylWalter Bagley. Variance request to Table 2.5.4 "Size and <br />®imension Criteria"of the City of Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations fora 7' rearyard setbackfor <br />a structure, in lieu of the required 20' rear yard setback for the R-9 zoning district. <br />Ms. Gauvin asked the applicant to come forward. The applicant requested the City to make the initial <br />presentation. <br />Mr. Eric Raasch, Planner, reviewed the background information and the analysis of the request provided in his <br />memorandum to the Board of Adjustment, dated August 20, 2010 (a copy is on file in the Community Development <br />Department). Mr. Raasch stated the variance application does not meet any of the six criteria for granting the variance; <br />therefore, City staff cannot support the request. He said if the Board of Adjustment chooses to grant the variance <br />
