CITY OF CASSELBERRY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT The City of Casselberry Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 6:30 P.M., in the Casselberry City Hall Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. Members present were: Mary Anne Gauvin Luis Guzman Brian Suto Phyllis Wallace, Alternate Members absent were: Earl McMullen Arlin Armour Staff members present: Sandra Smith, Chief Planner Eric Raasch, Planner I Joni Dixon, Sr. Staff Assistant First Item of Business: Approval of Minutes for the public hearing held on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Ms, Gauvin stated the Chair would entertain a motion on the approval of the minutes for the public hearing held on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Mr. Guzman moved to accept the June 24, 2010 minutes. Ms. Wallace seconded the motion. The Board was polled and the motion passed unanimously. Second Item of Business: Disclosure of Ex Parte communications. No disclosure of Ex Parte Communications was made by the Board. Third Item of Business: BA 10.04: 614 Doheny WaylWalter Bagley. Variance request to Table 2.5.4 "Size and ®imension Criteria"of the City of Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations fora 7' rearyard setbackfor a structure, in lieu of the required 20' rear yard setback for the R-9 zoning district. Ms. Gauvin asked the applicant to come forward. The applicant requested the City to make the initial presentation. Mr. Eric Raasch, Planner, reviewed the background information and the analysis of the request provided in his memorandum to the Board of Adjustment, dated August 20, 2010 (a copy is on file in the Community Development Department). Mr. Raasch stated the variance application does not meet any of the six criteria for granting the variance; therefore, City staff cannot support the request.
