RESOLUTION 11-2293 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SCHOOL <br />BOARD FOR THE SERVICES OF A SCHOOL RESOURCE <br />OFFICER FOR THE 2011 — 2012 SCHOOL YEAR; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County School Board has requested and the City of Casselberry <br />agrees to provide law enforcement personnel to perform the duties and responsibilities of a School <br />Resource Officer at South Seminole Middle School; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to enter into an Agreement with the Seminole <br />County School Board for the services of a School Resource Officer commencing July 1, 2011 and <br />continuing through June 30, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, said Agreement provides for the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County <br />School Board splitting the salary costs of the School Resource Officer equally, with the School Board <br />compensating the City of Casselberry the sum of Thirty Four Thousand Four Hundred Ninety Seven <br />Dollars and 00/100 ($34,497.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the Agreement and duties of the School <br />Resource Officer for the 2011 — 2012 School Year, between the City of Casselberry and the Seminole <br />County School Board, attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said Agreement for and on <br />behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION IL Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to <br />be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or <br />effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV.
