RESOLUTION 11-2251 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH SITEK CORPORATION FOR <br />THE SAUSALITO SHORES OUTFALL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT LAKE <br />HOWELL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City's adopted Stormwater, Lakes Management, and Water Quality <br />Master Plan calls for installation of baffle boxes in the Sausalito neighborhood serving Lake <br />Howell and part of the Howell Creek basin; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry applied to FDEP and received a TMDL Water <br />Quality Restoration Grant in the amount of $250,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested bids from qualified contractors via an <br />advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on February 27 and March 6, 2011 for the Sausalito <br />Shores Outfall Improvement Project at Lake Howell; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 29, 2011, the City held a public bid opening where six (6) sealed <br />bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Sitek Corporation submitted the lowest responsive, responsible, and <br />adequate bid in the amount of $202,000.00 and has experience performing similar work; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the bid proposal from Sitek Corporation and finds <br />it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />Agreement with Sitek Corporation, attached as "Attachment A", and authorizes the Mayor to <br />execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION IL Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
