RESOLUTION 11-2251 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT WITH SITEK CORPORATION FOR THE SAUSALITO SHORES OUTFALL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT LAKE HOWELL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City's adopted Stormwater, Lakes Management, and Water Quality Master Plan calls for installation of baffle boxes in the Sausalito neighborhood serving Lake Howell and part of the Howell Creek basin; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry applied to FDEP and received a TMDL Water Quality Restoration Grant in the amount of $250,000.00; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry requested bids from qualified contractors via an advertisement in the Orlando Sentinel on February 27 and March 6, 2011 for the Sausalito Shores Outfall Improvement Project at Lake Howell; and WHEREAS, on March 29, 2011, the City held a public bid opening where six (6) sealed bids were received; and WHEREAS, Sitek Corporation submitted the lowest responsive, responsible, and adequate bid in the amount of $202,000.00 and has experience performing similar work; and WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the bid proposal from Sitek Corporation and finds it adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Agreement with Sitek Corporation, attached as "Attachment A", and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION IL Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
