RESOLUTION 25-3486 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LOCALLY FUNDED AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE US HIGHWAY 17-92 TO SUNSET DRIVE TRAIL CONNECTION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry is committed to making its community safer, more comfortable, and more connected for people of all ages and abilities to walk and bike; and WHEREAS, The US Highway 17-92 to Sunset Drive Trail Connection Project was identified in the City's adopted Multimodal Transportation Master Plan (MTMP) during Fiscal Year (FY) 2017; and WHEREAS, construction of the proposed improvements using federal funds was programmed into the State of Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT's) Work Program for State Fiscal Year (FY) 2025; and WHEREAS, design of the project has been completed; and WHEREAS, FDOT is prepared to undertake Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for the project and partially fund said services; and WHEREAS, a Locally Funded Agreement with FDOT is necessary in order for the City to provide funding for CEI services using local funds; and WHEREAS, City Staff has reviewed the aforementioned Agreement and finds it acceptable to meet the needs of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION L The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Locally Funded Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation to provide for Construction Engineering and Inspection services for the US Highway 17-92 to Sunset Drive Trail Connection Project and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION IL Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
