RESOLUTION 04-1482 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION <br />OF THE EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY BY LINDA <br />MOORE, AND AUTHORIZING THE NOMINATION OF LINDA MOORE FOR CITY <br />EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD SPONSORED BY THE FLORIDA LEAGUE OF <br />CITIES." <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LINDA MOORE has served the City of Casselberry for nine years, in the <br />successive capacities of Wirz Park Center Manager, Special Events Coordinator and Park <br />Planner, and has excelled in her positions earning promotions regardless of the complexity and <br />workload of the position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LINDA MOORE has participated in the purchase of more park acreage and <br />collaborated in the design and building of more parks for Casselberry than any individual in the <br />history of the City of Casselberry; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LINDA MOORE has through her commitment and love of the arts created <br />an award-winning Public Arts Series for the enjoyment of the residents and citizens of the City <br />of Casselberry and the surrounding communities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LINDA MOORE has applied for and received more grants for Parks and <br />Recreation programs than any individual in the history of the City of Casselberry, and has also <br />established the Neighborhood Grant Program which provides funding for Casselberry's <br />neighborhoods to beautify and improve their common areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LINDA MOORE has further served the community by establishing the <br />Friends of the Parks citizens group, volunteers who preserve our parks through enhancement <br />projects and she also sits on the board of the Rotary Club of Casselberry, and the Seminole <br />County Arts Council. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERR¥, FLORIDA, that Linda Moore be commended for her service <br />to the City and nominated as the City Employee of the Year, a part of the Florida Cities <br />of Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Florida League of Cities. <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent records of the <br />City of Casselberry and the original thereof be presented to LINDA MOORE this date in <br />recognition of her service to the City of Casselbemj. <br /> <br /> APPROVED and ADOPTED th~ ay of , A.D. 2004. <br /> <br />Page I of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
