<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 25, 2006 - Regular Meeting <br />Paget7of18 <br /> <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and the City Clerk recommended approval of the Special <br />Invoice and Minor Contract Report as presented. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner moved to approve the Special <br />Invoice and Minor Contract Report dated September <br />25, 2006 as presented. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Hufford. Motion carried unanimously 5 <br />- 0 by voice vote. <br /> <br />13. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. MEETING SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2006 <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Thelma McPherson, City Clerk, suggested modifying the City Commission meeting <br />schedule for November to meet only once on November 20, 2006. This modification will allow the County <br />Elections Canvassing Board sufficient time to certify the election results and enable the newly elected officials <br />to be sworn in at that meeting. Traditionally the City Commission has met only once in the month of <br />November and once in the month of December due to the holidays. This year, the second regular meeting date <br />falls on Christmas Day so it was recommended that the meeting schedule for December be modified to meet <br />only once on December Il'h. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: This matter has no impact on the budget. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The Interim City Manager and City Clerk recommended the City Commission modify its <br />meeting schedule to meet only once in November on November 20, 2006 and only once in December on <br />December 11, 2006. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hart moved to approve the modified <br />meeting schedule for the City Commission providing for <br />one meeting in November on November 20, 2006 and <br />one meeting in December on December 11, 2006. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hufford. <br />Motion carried unanimously 5 - 0 by voice vote. <br /> <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Reported he authorized an emergency repairs to the City's utility line crossings at the Crane Strand <br />Canal in the Eastbrook subdivision, pursuant to Resolution 06-1671 and City policy governing <br />emergency purchases and repairs. <br />Noted that information concerning the Request for Proposal for the City Center project was included <br />with the distributed agenda materials. <br />. Noted a workshop had been scheduled for November 2nd. <br />
