<br />RESOLUTION - #06-1710 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE <br />OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION RELATING TO <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br />ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF LAKE <br />CONCORD/ANNIVERSARY PARK; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has maintained Lake Concord/Anniversary Park <br />over the years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lake Concord/Anniversary Park will be developed into a lake front park <br />that will serve as a focal point in the community and will host numerous special events and <br />activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to develop Lake Concord! Anniversary Park <br />and improve the quality of the park facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the park is to provide additional wholesome outdoor <br />recreational activities for the residents of the City of Casselberry, Florida; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida has appropriated funding to assist with redevelopment <br />of Lake Concord! Anniversary Park through the Florida Recreation Development Assistance <br />Program during the Fiscal Year 2006-2007. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. The City Commission hereby approves entering into an agreement <br />(attached as Exhibit A) with the State of Florida for fiscal years 2006-2007 providing financial <br />assistance for the development of Lake Concord! Anniversary Park for the maximum of $200,000 <br />and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any ofthe <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date.
