<br />RESOLUTION 06-1708 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE <br />TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2006 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2007; <br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry has adopted a tentative operating millage <br />rate at a public hearing pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt the tentative budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolution is in the best <br />interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Casselberry. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. Tentative Budl!et. Having previously adopted a tentative millage rate for the City of <br />Casselberry for Fiscal Year 2006 - 2007, the City Commission adopts its tentative budget as may be amended for <br />the Fiscal Year commencing October I, 2006 and ending September 30,2007, as presented at its regularly <br />scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this Resolution, with all amendments, if any, adopted at that <br />meeting. The City of Casselberry Proposed Budget is attached hereto as Exhibit A and the amendments and <br />summary sheets are attached as Exhibit B. <br /> <br />SECTION II. Proposed Expenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative budget are as <br />follows: General Fund - $24,699,903, Other Governmental Funds - $ I 4,214,284. Enterprise Funds - $16,883,502. <br />The budget is based upon gross taxable value of real property value of $ I ,408,530,440. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Public Notice. Within fifteen (15) days of the date ofthis Resolution, the City Clerk shall <br />advertise in a newspaper of general circulation the City's intent to finally adopt the millage rate and budget and <br />shall hold a public hearing to finalize the budget and adopt the millage rate not less than two (2) days or more than <br />(5) days after the date the advertisement is first published. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Severabilitv. Ifany section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or portion of this <br />Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion <br />shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of <br />the remaining portion hereto. <br /> <br />SECTION V.
