RESOLUTION 06-1708 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2006 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2007; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry has adopted a tentative operating millage rate at a public hearing pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt the tentative budget; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolution is in the best interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Casselberry. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Tentative Budl!et. Having previously adopted a tentative millage rate for the City of Casselberry for Fiscal Year 2006 - 2007, the City Commission adopts its tentative budget as may be amended for the Fiscal Year commencing October I, 2006 and ending September 30,2007, as presented at its regularly scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this Resolution, with all amendments, if any, adopted at that meeting. The City of Casselberry Proposed Budget is attached hereto as Exhibit A and the amendments and summary sheets are attached as Exhibit B. SECTION II. Proposed Expenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative budget are as follows: General Fund - $24,699,903, Other Governmental Funds - $ I 4,214,284. Enterprise Funds - $16,883,502. The budget is based upon gross taxable value of real property value of $ I ,408,530,440. SECTION III. Public Notice. Within fifteen (15) days of the date ofthis Resolution, the City Clerk shall advertise in a newspaper of general circulation the City's intent to finally adopt the millage rate and budget and shall hold a public hearing to finalize the budget and adopt the millage rate not less than two (2) days or more than (5) days after the date the advertisement is first published. SECTION IV. Severabilitv. Ifany section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or portion of this Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereto.
