Resolution 06- I 684 - Cooperative Purchase Proposal - Parthenon Construction Company for Sidewalk Repair and Replacement on North Triplet Lake Drive The City Clerk read Resolution 06-1684 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PROPOSAL FOR SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WITH PARTHENON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (PARTHENON); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1684 authorizes the execution ofa proposal from Parthenon Construction for sidewalk repair and replacement in the area of the Senior Center primarily east of the bridge crossing on North Triplet Lake Drive. Partial funding for the project in the amount of$35,890 is available in the Public Works Budget, Local Option Gas Tax (109- 710-54 I -63.040) and the remaining cost of$IO,890 is available in the Public Works Budget Streets & Fleet Maintenance (001-720-541-53.00). The work will be completed within eight weeks from the Notice to Proceed. Staff Recommendation: Public Works has reviewed the Proposal from Parthenon and recommendsapproval of Resolution 06-1684. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to approve Resolution 06-1684, Parthenon Proposal for Sidewalk Construction, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried on a 4 - 0 vote. H. Resolution 06-1685 - Ratification of Labor Agreement with Casselberry Professional Firefighters, Local 3927 The City Clerk read Resolution 06- I 685 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSSELBERRY AND THE CASSELBERRY PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL 3927; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Resolution 06-1685 ratifies the proposed labor agreement between the City of Casselberry and the Casselberry Firefighters Local 3927. The agreement covers the period from the date ratification by the City Commission to September 2007. A clarification was made to the language in Article 22 (Leave for Judicial Proceedings) and Article 33 (Other Leaves). The City has received official notification that the Firefighters, IAFF Local 3927 has unanimously approved the proposed agreement. Staff Recommendation: Approve Resolution 06-1685 as presented and accepted by the Firefighters' Local 3927.
