Requested a status of Winter Park Drive Project <br /> <br />Requested a status report regarding hurricane preparedness. <br /> <br />. Reported on the Department of Transportation will reportedly spend $65 Million for right-of-way <br />purchases for the flyover. He suggested the City work with DOT for the demolition of Club Juana <br />instead of leaving it boarded up for nine years as is currently planned. <br /> <br />Proposed an addition to the Agenda a request that an ordinance be prepared for the first and second <br />meetings in July authorizing a non-binding referendum for the November 2006 Ballot asking the <br />citizens whether or not the City should go forward with a $13 Million Civic Center/Parking Garage <br />Project. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Mayor Goff to place on the Agenda the preparation of a <br />non-binding referendum question on the November Ballot asking the <br />citizens whether or not the City should go forward with a $13 Million <br />Civic CenterlParking Garage Project. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Cook. <br /> <br />VOTE ON THE MOTION: After extensive discussion, the Commission voted 5 _ 0 <br />to place this item "Discussion and Consideration of a <br />Referendum for the Civic Center" on the July 10,2006 <br />Agenda. <br /> <br />13. Staff Reports <br /> <br />A. Taping of City Commission Meetings (Informational Only) <br /> <br />A memo from Matt Fortini, Parks and Recreation Director, updated the sound system/video problems in the <br />Commission Chambers that need to be resolved before the televising of Commission meetings. The <br />Commission Meeting of June 26, 2006 will be taped by Seminole Community College on a test run. The <br />costs will be brought forward and addressed at this meeting. <br /> <br />B. City of Casselberry Community Perceptions Survey, 2006 conducted by the University of Central <br />Florida (Final Version) <br /> <br />This item will be brought back at the July 10, 2006 Meeting. <br /> <br />C. Letter of Resignation - Interim City Manager <br /> <br />Mr. John Pavlis, Interim City Manager, submitted his letter of resignation dated June 12, 2006. In <br />accordance with his employment agreement he asked to return to his previous position as Chief of Police. <br />He thanked the Commission for the opportunity to serve the City as its interim manager. The Commission <br />commended him for his service and accepted his resignation. <br />
