<br />City Commission Meeting <br />May 22, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />5. Approval of A!!enda <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Linda Hart to approve the Agenda as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford and carried on a <br />5 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />6. Presentations <br /> <br />A. City of Casselberry Community Perceptions Survey, 2006 - Jana L. Jasinski, Ph.D and James D. <br />Wright, Ph.D., Institute for Social and Behavioral Sciences, University of Central Florida <br /> <br />Dr. James D. Wright, Ph.D, University of Florida, was present and gave an overview ofthe results <br />of the Community Perceptions Survey. The telephone survey of 663 Casselberry residents was <br />conducted in April and May 2006. The bottom line of the survey concluded that most City services <br />were rated good or excellent by the large majority of respondents with two exceptions: Code <br />Enforcement and quality of City drinking water. The satisfied residents liked neighborhoods and <br />convenience to businesses; dissatisfied residents did not like traffic and lack of businesses. The <br />majority of Casselberry residents indicated they would be satisfied receiving essential services from <br />Seminole County if it saved them money. <br /> <br />The Commission posed several concerns regarding the survey and Mr. Wright indicated that he <br />would respond to the concerns of the Commission with more clarification regarding the survey in <br />his final report, which will be made available at the June 12, 2006 meeting. <br /> <br />The Perceptions Survey as presented by Mr. Wright in a power point presentation are attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />B. U.S. Highway 17-92 Corridor Presentation - Kevin Fall, Seminole County Government <br /> <br />Mr. Kevin Fall, representing Seminole County Redevelopment Planning Agency (RPA) discussed <br />building heights and density as a part ofthe update to the master plan for U.S. Highway 17-92, from <br />Fern Park to Sanford. He presented a lengthy power point presentation which is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. A Work Session for further discussion on this matter was scheduled <br />for June 12, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />C. Mayor's Proclamation Declaring June 5 - 9,2006 as Code Enforcement Officers Appreciation Week <br /> <br />The Proclamation was presented to Fire Chief Don Harkins. <br /> <br />7. Citizens' Comments <br /> <br />None <br />
