<br />D. Schedule of building permits fees. On all construction work requiring a permit, fees <br />for building permits and related activities shall be applied in accordance with the schedule <br />stated below. Valuation of construction shall be determined by the contract value of <br />construction. If the Administrative Official determines that the contract value is <br />underestimated, the Administrative Official shall have the authority to substitute for the <br />contract value the Building Valuation Data as printed in the most recent publication of the <br />Southern Buildina magazine, published by the Southern Building Code Congress <br />International, Inc, or a value as determined from a standard construction industry cost <br />estimating guide. <br /> <br />1 . Building Permit Fee. <br />a. A total construction valuation up to and including $1,000, requires a <br />building permit fee of $20, which shall be paid upon receipt of the permit. <br /> <br />b. A total valuation in excess of $1 ,000, requires a building permit fee of $20 <br />for the first $1 ,000 valuation, plus one-half of one percent (0.005) of the <br />valuation in excess of $1,000, which shall be paid upon receipt of the <br />permit. <br /> <br />2. Plan Review Fee. When the valuation of the proposed construction exceeds <br />$1,000, a plan review fee shall be paid to the City upon receipt of the permit. <br />Said plan review fee shall be equal to one-half of the building permit fee. <br /> <br />3. Inspection Fee. When the valuation of the proposed construction exceeds <br />$1,000, an inspection fee shall be paid. Said inspection fee shall be equal to <br />one-half of the building permit fee. This inspection fee shall be in addition to <br />any other fee imposed by this section and shall be paid upon receipt of the <br />permit. <br /> <br />4. Re-inspection Fee. The re-inspection fee shall be $50 for the first re- <br />inspection, $60 for the second re-inspection, and $70 for every re-inspection <br />thereafter. All re-inspection fees shall be paid prior to receiving final <br />inspection. <br /> <br />5. Fire-related Fees. Fire-related fees are established as shown below and <br />shall be assessed as applicable. Fire-related fees shall be in addition to any <br />other fee imposed by this section and shall be paid prior to receipt of the <br />permit. <br /> <br />Fire sprinkler plan review <br />Fire alarm plan review <br />Fixed protection systems <br />Hydrant flow test <br /> <br />$ 75 <br />$ 45 <br />$ 45 <br />$ 50 <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 03-1092 <br />Page 5 of 18 <br />
