Resolution 05-1625 - Award of Bid - All Faiths Memorial Reclaimed Irrigation System, Project No. 0505 The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1625 by title as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID TO SOUTHERN LANDSCAPING & IRRIGATION SYSTEMS, INe., TO CONSTRUCT THE ALL FAITHS MEMORlALRECLAIMED WATER IRRIGATION SYSTEM; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Mr. Goucher stated that All Faiths Memorial Park, under pressure from the St. Johns River Water Management District, has agreed to cease irrigating with well water and connect to the City's reclaimed water system. The City advertised for bidders to complete the necessary construction services and the low bid was Southern Landscaping & Irrigation Systems, Inc. in the amount of$15,053.00. Staff Recommendation: Award bid for install of the irrigation system to Southern Landscaping & Irrigation Systems, Inc. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Linda Hart to approve Resolution 05-1625, Award of Bid/All Faiths Memorial Reclaimed Irrigation System, to Southern Landscaping & Irrigation, Inc., as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by voice vote. (5 - 0) H. Resolution 05-1626 - Amendment] to Supplemental Agreement No.3 for Design and Engineering Services for the Re-alignment of Triplet Lake Drive with West Melody Lane The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1626 as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY,FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. I TO SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NUMBER 3 TO THE CONTINUING SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ADDITIONAL SURVEY AND TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING,INe. D/B/A TEl, FORDESIGN OF THE RE- ALIGNMENT OF TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE WITH WEST MELODY LANE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: The City has a Continuing Services Contract for transportation planning and engineering related projects with Transportation Engineering, Inc. (TEl). Supplemental No.3 to TEl's contract was approved to provide preliminary and final design phase services for the triplet Lake Drive Re- alignment project. During the course of the design, it became necessary to design a new parking lot to replace the parking that would be lost in front of City Hall with the widening of Triplet Lake Drive. The additional design effort also requires additional surveying. Amendment 1 to Supplemental Agreement No. 3 is for additional Design and Engineering Services for the Re-alignment of Triplet Lake Drive with West Melody Lane.
