RESOLUTION 05-1636 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSAL FROM CHINCHOR ELECTRIC, INC. TO PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES TO UPGRADE 24 TRAFFIC SIGNALS TO FULL FOUR-WAY PRE-EMPTION (OPTICOM); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, in the event of an emergency the need for emergency vehicles to arrive in a timely manner is paramount; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has through Seminole County obtained a proposal to upgrade all 24 traffic signals in the City to full OPTICOM; and WHEREAS, the lowest quote was received from Chinchor Electric, Inc. which has a continuing services agreement for work with Seminole County, and is responsive and responsible; and WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed the proposal for services by Chinchor Electric, Inc. and found it complete, competitive and adequate for the project and recommends approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves proposal with Chinchor Electric, Inc. (attached as "Exhibit A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution.
