<br />EXHIBIT A <br />SUPPLEMENTAL SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE <br />June 28. 2005 <br /> <br />Task 1. There has been additional coordination with the City's contracted planning <br />firm during the time the City was considering the plan and design of <br />Anniversary Park concurrent with the Triplet Lake Drive design. Though the <br />City has decided to suspend the Anniversary Park design, the work effort <br />included in this estimate is for meeting and material preparation that has <br />previously occurred and were in excess of those considered in the original <br />scope. <br /> <br />Task 2. The original scope for this project included the design and plan preparation for <br />one detention pond. However, a second detention pond and exfiltration trench <br />will be required to accommodate the storm water on the west side of US 17/92. <br />The work effort includes the preparation of several design alternatives, exhibits <br />that have been previously prepared at the request of the City, the design of the <br />pond, exfiltration trench and associated drainage structures. <br /> <br />Task 3. The realignment of Triplet Lake Drive will affect the Target parking lot. <br />Included in this work effort is the development of plans sheets for the retrofit of <br />the parking lot directly affected by the road realignment. <br /> <br />Task 4. As a result of the analysis of the Target pond, to minimize the pond surface area <br />and to provide approximately 180 foot of frontage on US 17/92, a retaining wall <br />will be needed on three sides of the pond. The structural design effort for a <br />retaining wall with a decorative face is included in the design effort. <br /> <br />Task 5. Additional survey work will be required. Southeastern Surveying & Mapping <br />Corporation will supplement the existing survey to include portions of the <br />Target parking lot, the City's water tower site and connection points at Quail <br />Pond Circle. They have included an optional service to provide two legal <br />descriptions and sketches. The total cost shown includes the fee for the <br />optional service. <br /> <br />Task 6. Ardaman & Associates, Inc. has recently completed the field work for the <br />Triplet Lake Drive project that was included in the original scope. During <br />Ardaman's initial investigation, they discovered organic soils in the proposed <br />
