<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 12, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 of 17 <br /> <br />Incentive Award <br /> <br />Alma Echevarria, Environmental Coordinator <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />Ms. Echevarria was awarded a $50 gift certificate for implementing the Wastewater Pretreatment Program, <br />which regulates and imposes operating requirements on commercial businesses that produce waste greases <br />and oils that could be discharged into the sanitary sewer system. The program has resulted in thousands of <br />dollars in cost savings to the City. <br /> <br />B. ANNUAL CITY COMMISSION AWARD <br /> <br />Terri McDonald, Community Service Officer <br />Police Department <br /> <br />Mayor Goff and Mr. Segreto presented Ms. McDonald with a $500 gift certificate for extraordinary customer <br />service. Ms. McDonald has received numerous letters of appreciation from residents and professional <br />agencies who have observed and complimented her outstanding service to the citizens of Casselberry, and <br />in particular, to the elderly residents of the City. The patience and understanding displayed by Ms. <br />McDonald when dealing with difficult people and situations have made notable impression on many, <br />including her fellow employees. <br /> <br />7. CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, voiced concerns regarding the significant <br />removal of trees from the Mobil Gas Station construction site located at the intersection of <br />Seminola Boulevard and Winter Park Drive, and the lack of preservation of trees. Mr. <br />Casselberry also reiterated his suggestion to provide access along the southern boundary of <br />the Home Depot property in conjunction with the Plumosa Avenue realignment to attempt <br />to reduce cut through traffic on Sunset Drive and force the movement onto U.S. 17-92. Mr. <br />Casselberry also reiterated his suggestion that the City request that the City Attorney never <br />destroy any city records, and should those records become to voluminous that the City either <br />find storage for them or share the cost of storing those records. Mr. Casselberry further <br />suggested that the Police Department could provide security for the stored records by <br />monitoring camera surveillance. <br /> <br />8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A.
