<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 12, 2005 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 17ofl7 <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Goff - Seat #5: <br />· Reported he attended the Mayor's Sununit recently called by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to discuss <br />a regional approach to dealing with the influx of temporary and permanent relocations of people <br />affected by the Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and Louisiana to the Central Florida area. Reported <br />cities in the tri-county area will be conducting simultaneous food drives on Friday, September 16, <br />2005 to help replenish the local food pantries which have been depleted since Hurricane Katrina hit <br />the Gulf Coast. <br /> <br />13. STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Tony Segreto - Interim City Manager: <br />· Noted the fmal $250,000 reimbursement from FEMA for last year's hurricanes was anticipated to <br />be received shortly. <br />· Noted a new memorandum will be issued to the Planning & Zoning Commission to clarify public <br />participation guidelines at their meetings. Further noted that he will be sending letters to all <br />attendees of the August 10, 2005 Planning & Zoning Commission meeting to explain the <br />misunderstanding regarding public participation. <br /> <br />Catherine Reischmann - City Attorney: <br />· Reported Judge Nelson recently ruled in favor of the City regarding the summary judgement on the <br />remainder ofthe Rachel's case. Congratulated Special Counsel Anthony Garganese for his work on <br />the case. <br /> <br />14.
