DISCUSSION ON THE LENGTH OF MEETINGS <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner voiced concernS regarding the excessive length of City Commission meetings <br />lately, citing specifically the June 13,2005 meeting which ended at 1:30 a.m., and suggested adopting a <br />timeframe for meetings. Mayor Goff and Commissioner Hufford concurred with Commissioner <br />Doerner's concerns and were in favor of establishing a timeframe for meetings. Mr. Segreto stated staff <br />would research current practices and guidelines of other area cities and bring back a recommendation for <br />consideration at the next meeting. Commissioner Doerner suggested establishing a temporary timeÍÌ'a1Ile <br />until a formal guideline is established. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Hufford moved to establish a temporary practice of the City <br />Commission to assess remaining items on the agenda at 10:30 p.m. and only <br />take action on those matters that are absolutely essential to complete ou that <br />night and possibly table other items that are not deemed essential to the next <br />meeting in an effort to limit the timeframe of City Commission meetings and <br />attempt to complete business by 11:00 p.m. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissiouer Doerner. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />VII. ~ CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />1) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, suggested the City consider possibly aerating the <br />lakes similar to the process utilized by the City of Orlando for several years. <br /> <br />VIII. ¥IJ.. Motion carried unanimously by <br />voice vote. <br />
