<br />City Commission Meeting <br />May 23, 2005 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />THE COORDINATOR FOR THE SEMINOLE COUNTY WATER SUPPLY <br />PLAN DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff PresentationlRecommendation: <br /> <br />The City Commission, at its meeting on August 23,2004, approved the County-Wide Water Supply <br />Planning Interlocal Agreement between the seven cities in Seminole County and the County. Staff <br />recommends approval ofthe Agreement with the St Johns River Water Management District that <br />designates the City of Casselberry as the Coordinator for the Water Supply Plan. The City will <br />advertise for a qualified consultant firm for the plan and upon selection the Public Works staff will <br />manage the consultant during the Plan preparation. All funding for the consultant will be by the <br />District, which has agreed to fund up to $350,000.00 through 2008 fiscal year. The cost to the City <br />will be staff time and minor travel costs. <br /> <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen Hufford to approve Resolution 05- <br />1584, Agreement with St. Johns Water Management District, as <br />presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Susan Doerner <br />and carried unanimously by voice vote. (5 - 0) <br /> <br />G. Resolution 05-1585 - State Highway Lighting, Maintenance and Compensation <br />Aereement with the Florida Department of Transportation <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1585 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF HE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO ENTER <br />INTO A STATE HIGHWAY LIGHTING, MAINTENANCE AND <br />COMPENSATION AGREEMENT WORK ORDER WITH THE FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff PresentationlRecommendation: <br /> <br />This Agreement is the third State Highway Lighting, Maintenance and Compensation Agreement <br />from the Florida Department of Transportation to perform highway lighting maintenance. Since <br />2002, the City of Casselberry has successfully maintained the highway lighting on SR 436 and US <br />17-92. The proposed agreement provides a 3 percent increase and the total compensation to the City <br />for fiscal year 2006 will be $30,093.88. Staff has reviewed the Agreement and recommends <br />approval. <br />
