<br />ARTICLE 4 <br />SERVICES TO THE UNION <br /> <br />4.1 The City agrees to furnish the Union officer, upon written request, a roster containing names of <br />all City employees within the unit, together with their grade, as same are current upon the date of <br />ratification of this Agreement. Further, the City agrees to provide the Union, upon request, a supplement <br />setting forth all deletions and additions to said list. The Union shall reimburse the City for the costs of <br />production. All requests for infonnation by the Union shall be submitted to the Personnel Department. <br /> <br />4.2 Upon request, the City will furnish the Union office with a current copy of all ordinances, <br />resolutions, and regulations affecting wages, hours, terms and conditions of employment as same are <br />current at the time of ratification of this Agreement. The Union will pay the City the standard rate of <br />copying for said documents. <br /> <br />4.3 City employees will be precluded from conducting official Union business during working hours, <br />excluding meal periods, and at any time in work areas. <br /> <br />4.4 Employees shall be advised of shift assignments in writing. <br /> <br />4.5 Bargaining unit, members may donate, in increments of no less than two (2) hours, their vacation <br />time to a Union Business Pool time account. <br /> <br />4.6 The Union shall be responsible for completing all fonns necessary, at its costs, to enable the City <br />to properly charge donated time to the donating employee and to charge used time against the Pool <br />account. <br /> <br />4.7 The Union Business Pool time will be recorded as dollars in and dollars out. <br /> <br />4.8 Union representatives may be released from work and may use the Business Pool for the purpose <br />of Union business not to exceed total off six (6) hours per month subject to work demands and the <br />supervisor's approval. The six (6) hours allowed for herein shall be a cap of six (6) hours for all Union <br />officers. That is, one officer may use one (I) hour or six (6) hours but no combination of officials may <br />collectively or individually exceed the six (6) hour cap. (Not to exceed three (3) persons). There will be <br />no more than a total of six (6) hours allotted for the entire Bargaining Unit as a group. It is not an <br />allotment of six (6) hours per official or per unit member per month. Additionally, Union <br />representatives will be released from work to attend scheduled contract negotiations with the City and <br />may use the Union Business Pool for said purpose. In no event shall the Union representatives be <br />released from duty with pay to conduct Union business or matters related to Union business. However, <br />in those months in which the parties are negotiating a successor collective bargaining agreement, the <br />Union Business Pool described above shall be increased to a total often (10) hours. <br /> <br />T / A'd Contract <br /> <br />-5- <br />
