Resolution 05-1571 - Second Ouarter Budl!et Amendment for FY 2004-2005 <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1571 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />THE ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR <br />THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2004 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER <br />30,2005; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 05-1572 covers amendments to the F .Y. 2004 budget for the second quarter. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Linda Hart for approval of Resolution 05-1571, <br />Second Quarter Budget Amendment for F.Y. 2005. The motion was seconded <br />by Commissioner Susan Doerner and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />(5 - 0). <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />G. Resolution 05-1572 - Volunteer Board ADDointment Procedure PoJicv <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 05-1572 as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A <br />BOARD APPOINTMENTS PROCEDURE POLICY AND APPROVING AN <br />APPLICATION FORM; REPEALING RESOLUTION 96-954, REGARDING TERM <br />LIMITS TO REQUIRE A BREAK IN SERVICE OF ONE YEAR; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Resolution 05-1572 adopts a Volunteer Board Appointment Procedure Policy and <br />approves an application form. The procedures are a culmination of the wishes of the City Commission <br />expressed during a previous workshop. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: Approval <br /> <br />Citizen InDut: Phyllis Sheppard, 580 S. Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida, stated that the selection <br />process for recruitment of V olunteer Board Members was too rigid. The required qualifications for members <br />seemed to close out a lot of citizens that do not meet the requirements, i.e. education, experience; criteria <br />should be focused on the activities of the board and attendance for members. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Susan Doerner for approval of Resolution 05-1572, <br />Volunteer Board Appointment Procedure Policy, as presented. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Colleen Hufford and carried unanimously by voice <br />vote. (5 - 0). <br />
