RECOGNITION OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT STAFF <br /> <br />There were no members of the Lake Howell AmlS Condominiums Association Management staff present. <br /> <br />5. OPEN DISCUSSION: OUESTIONS AND RESPONSES PERTAINING TO <br />ANNEXATION REFERENDUM <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost opened the floor to an informal question and answer discussion pertaining to the <br />annexation referendum of Lake Howell Arms Condominiums scheduled for Tuesday, July 13,2004. Mr. <br />Clifton gave a brief presentation regarding the benefits of annexing into the City of Casselberry, as outlined <br />in the materials distributed to the audience members. Copies of distributed materials are attached to and <br />made a part ofthese minutes. Discussion items included: switching from master water meters to individual <br />water meters; the City's offer to waive installation charges for the individual meters upon favorable outcome <br />of the anuexation election; reduction in water/sewer rates, various tax impacts; impacts to Lake Howell and <br />public access to the lake; various aspects and enhancement of police and fire protection; benefits of code <br />enforcement services; inspection services and permitting; benefits of the various parks and recreational <br />amenities and events; volunteer opportunities; more accessibility to services; more personal customer service; <br />ongoing redevelopment activities; and election related matters such as voter eligibility, polling place location <br />and early voting opportunities. <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost announced that staff would be available after adjournment for any additional specific <br />questions that the audience might have, including specific tax impacts, and that Fire Station 25 squad <br />members present would be offering free blood pressure checks as well.
